Brock Rocks

Out of ICU

Filed under: Uncategorized — Vanessa @ 12:26 pm

Brock was able to move out of the PICU and back to the hem/onc floor yesterday.  Praise the Lord!

And today he is off oxygen and breathing room air.  Praise the Lord!

Jay and I (and the doctors and nurses and all of you, I’m sure) continue to be amazed at all of the miracles God has done for Brock.
And I don’t use that word, miracles, loosely.  I don’t want it to start to sound cliché.  The fact that Brock went from full cardiac arrest last Thursday to breathing on his own today is nothing short of a miracle.

Jay and I pray that God will continue to provide miracles so that Brock can grow into a young man who loves God and tells everyone about the things He has done for him.

The short term plan is to do a CT scan in a few days to get a better picture of what’s going on with the fungal infection.  One of the immediate concerns is that it is in his brain.  Please join us in praying that God has protected his brain from this infection!

The long term plan has yet to be determined….

Prayer Requests are the same….that God would miraculously heal the fungal infection and that He will keep Brock’s leukemia in remission forever – especially since we don’t know if he’ll ever be able to have chemo again.

Thank you so much for continuing to pray with us!

  3. AMEN AND AMEN!!!!

Will continue to pray. Will continue to praise, also! It is quite possible, and certainly the Lord is Worthy of praise in the midst of calamity. But to praise the Lord in the midst of a flowing stream of miracles is a blessing indeed!
