Brock Rocks

good day

Brock’s doing well, all things considered!  He got his art line and foley out yesterday.  I gave him a bath and then was able to hold him for a little bit.  He finally had some smiles when sister got here.  Jay stayed with him last night and they had a good night.  I think Jay even got him to sit up in the bed for awhile.

They’ve continued to wean his oxygen and he’s doing well with it.  If his breathing continues to improve we might be able to move out of the PICU and back to the hem/onc floor today.  Yay!

We’re so amazed at the progress that God has allowed to happen.  NOTHING is impossible for Him!

  3. Oh, such good news after such a very trying week? several days? I left town knowing Brock was having real difficulties, but not just how serious. Last night I caught up from the last several posts–WOW. Oh, Vanessa–what your precious family has been through. PRAISE THE LORD that Brock has pulled through yet again!!!! I spent Saturday praising the Lord after witnessing an almost tragic horse accident when a horse fell from a 10ft embankment and rolled onto his rider at the bottom of a v-shaped creekbed. His feet were flailing about her head as he tried to get up. I started praying feverishly–wondering if it was hopeless and begging the Lord to intervene. I saw the woman speak to her horse and him then just relax and lay quietly until some men got to them to roll him off of her. I ate lunch with the smiling woman and our riding group less than an hour later. I said “It sure is wonderful to praise the Lord on such a beautiful day!” Just to do the normal things. Just to smile and chat with friends. Such blessings that we so often over look. I thought about Brock too and prayed for you all too–that you might be blessed with some plain, ordinary normal things. Watching your son smile seems like a pretty way awesome “normal” thing, such a blessing. Such a gift.

  4. God surely loves Mr. Brock!

Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
