Brock Rocks

It’s Always Something…

Filed under: Uncategorized — Vanessa @ 12:29 pm

Brock had surgery to have his port removed this morning. (His port is the one underneath his skin that they give iv meds through, not his feeding tube). They put a PICC line in his arm during the surgery and did an xray to check the placement of it.

After he got back up to his room the doctors came by and said that the xray showed that he had a significant pneumothorax on his left lung. (There’s a hole in his lung and there’s air on the outside of his lung, causing his lung to be partially collapsed).

Right now he’s on high flow oxygen (a non rebreather) and we’re waiting for the surgeons to come by the room to let us know if they need to put in a chest tube.

Pray, please.

  5. Lord, please be with this precious little boy and his family right now. Give the doctors who are treating him wisdom to make the right decisions where Brock’s health is concerned. We ask that you wrap your comforting arms around his family right now and give them peace in knowing that you are with them each and every step of this journey. We pray for Brock’s strength throughout this bump in the road of his life and that you will help him to heal quickly. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  7. Continuing to pray for little Brock and the rest of your family. I pray that the Father’s touch would be in the doctor’s hands and minds as they decide what needs to be done for this little guy who has been through so much.

  8. Vanessa,

My prayers are with you, Jay, Jaycee, and especially Brock. He has a very special place in my heart. You are such an inspiration to me as how strong a mother you are, in believing, that God is always there for you. As a mother and grandmother this is so important, and as much we love our children, God is always there for us.
