Brock Rocks

April 10, 2010

Sat morning update

Filed under: Uncategorized — Vanessa @ 8:35 am

Brock had a pretty restless night.  He wasn’t awake and screaming in pain, but he also wasn’t sleeping comfortably.  The anesthesiologists made a few changes in the night that helped a little.

His oxygen saturation levels have been a little low (upper 80s-low 90s) so we’ve put him on a little oxygen.  (It’s just blowing next to his face instead of him wearing a nasal cannula.)

His hemaglobin was a little low this morning so he’ll get blood again today.

He’s had a foley catheter in since surgery and they’re planning on taking it out today.  I’m sure that will make him VERY happy.

God is so good and we are so thankful for how well everything has gone yesterday and today.

  2. Your sweet boy. Love how you’re down with the “lingo” 🙂 I wish you didn’t have to know it at all, though…Looking forward to hearing when he comes home!

  4. I’m so sorry Brock had to have the more difficult surgery and has had to endure so much. I’m constantly praying for your little guy and for you and Jay. I thank God that Brock has Christian parents. Hoping and praying that Brock’s pain will be minimal and that he will have a good day today and throughout his recovery.

  7. Poor little guy, I hate to see him go through any pain or restlessness. Hopefully he will stay pain free. It stinks that he had to have the surgery, but glad that they feel they got all the infection. Praying that his oxygen stays up and that he heals fast. Praying that the foley cath removal won’t be TOO painful. Also praying for strength for the family as you get through this and the next step to end this cancer for good. Blessings to you all!
