ER trip

Filed under: Uncategorized — Vanessa @ 8:44 am

Brock got a fever around 10 pm last night.  When you have cancer, that wins you an automatic trip to the ER for a CBC and blood cultures.  Four hours later, we were back home.  Yay!

At 9 pm last night when I was putting Jaycie to bed she said “Momma, I’m worried about Brother because he’s gonna spike a fever and have to go to the hospital.”

I couldn’t make this stuff up.

  1. It is amazing how the siblings know these things. Glad things worked out. Our stays like that usually last 1.5 weeks. If you would please put us on your prayer list. We are having to switch doctors because the one we had wouldn’t tell us anything so now we’re going to KC. First appointment is Friday. Thanks.

  2. Your family is an inspiration to all! I love how you can find the humor in all of the challenges this journey has presented. Our prayers are with you daily and pray for a complete healing for Brock to allow the journey traveled to be just a memory of how far things progressed.

Much love and prayers, Kim Brecheen (Excel Family)

  3. So glad that you guys are home, that the ER visit was just that, and that Brock wasn’t admitted. I honestly believe that children have the ability to “see” things; it’s what we grown-ups call ‘intuition’ but children likely experience it more often and more clearly than we do. And I agree, sibings have such a strong connection that their sense of “intuition” may be a lot stronger when it concerns their sib.

We continue to pray for Brock’s complete healing; we were so happy that he was home for Jaycie’s birthday!!!
