Dr. Blood just came by and let us know that the bone marrow aspiration showed no leukemia cells!  That means that he’s responded very well to the chemotherapy he’s received so far and it gives us some hope that he’ll continue to respond well and go into remission at the end of this induction phase of therapy.

They’re keeping us here 2 more weeks to minimize his risk of infection and to monitor him closely for fever, low blood counts, etc.  He got one dose of chemotherapy this morning and won’t get another until next Thursday.  In the mean time they’ll just be giving him fluids, blood, platelets and antibiotics as needed.

Thank you so much for your prayers!
